About the event

Neurosurgery SIG has collaborated with the NNI event coordinators to recruit volunteers for the 7th Singapore International Neuro-Cognitive Symposium (Feb 1-3, 2024). 

To be eligible as a volunteer, you are required to commit at least 2 days (either full day or half day, time slot TBC). As a token of appreciation, your registration fee will be waived. The roles for volunteers include program coordinator, speakers coordinator, registration counter, timekeeping, poster presentations coordinator, ushers etc.

Role descriptions:

  1. Speakers Coordinators - To identify speakers and ensure speakers report at the respective venues on time. Work closely with Programme Coordinator.
  2. Programme Coordinators - Ensure smooth running of programme of your assigned session. Assist speakers to upload/test slides. Work closely with Speaker Coordinator.
  3. Chairperson Coordinators - To identify and ensure Chairperson report at respective venues on time. Work closely with chairperson to ensure session run smoothly.
  4. Registration Team - Manage delegates registration, issue badges, symposium bags. Assist Usher team when necessary.
  5. Ushers/Crowd Control – Help with crowd control and ushering between sessions.
  6. Timekeeper - Manage time keeping for each speakers’ presentations. Work with respective chairperson to adjust accordingly.
  7. Poster Presentation Coordinator - Coordinate the presenters for poster presentations, ensure presenters are on standby at their poster during the presentation session.
