Calling all potential medical students intending to do an elective or MOPEX in NES! Join us for an insightful lecture on neurosurgical emergencies, and gain essential knowledge on handling haemorrhages and traumatic brain injuries! We'll also be sharing research opportunities in neurosurgery!

About the event
We hope to allow neurosurgery enthusiasts be better prepared before taking on an elective or future MOPEXs. For those still unsure what neurosurgery is about, this lecture will also provide a stepping stone for you to get an idea!
Topics:
1. Principles of Neurosurgery - Neurological assessment, Monroe keller doctrine, CSF physiology, raised ICP
2. Neurosurgical emergencies - Head injuries, TBI, Hemorrhages
3. Introduction to Research in Neurosurgery
Note: An understanding of neurophysiology and anatomy is required, hence this lecture may be better suited for MS2s and above. But MS1s please feel free to join to get some exposure :)
